Budding Innovations Pte. Ltd. is committed to protecting the privacy of our candidates, clients and users of our website. We will ensure that the information you submit to us, or which we collect, is only used for the purposes set out in this policy.
Through this Privacy Policy, we aim to inform you about the types of personal data we collect from you, the purposes for which we use the data and the ways in which the data is handled. We also aim to satisfy the obligation of transparency under relevant laws.
In this policy, the terms "BI", "we", "us" and "our" refers to Budding Innovations. The terms "you", "user" and "your" refers to you or the individual using the tool. We will only process your Personal Information in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws. We need certain Personal Information in order to provide you with access to the Site and Services. If you created a profile/registered with us, you will have been asked to indicate your agreement to provide this data in order to access our Services, purchase our products, or view our content.
What Information Do We Collect?
We collect data and information that you provide directly to us (e.g., when you fill out a form, or communicate with us).
These are the types of data we collect from you:

Contact information. This includes your name, email address, username and password. This information may be provided by you when you create an account on our website.

Information about you. This includes your gender, month and year of birth, country and education history, citizenship.
(3) Your responses. This includes the answers you give on profiling questions, your success stories and career aspirations.
We may also obtain further personal data about you during the course of our relationship. This information may be obtained directly from you or from third parties to enhance and personalise your experience, and make sure we’re finding the jobs most suited to you.
We do not use cookies in our profiling site. However, when you use your choice of browser to access our site, it may collect information about you (e.g., to identify you, to monitor your behaviour, your IP address). This depends on the browser you use and is something we do not have control of.
How Do We Use Your Information?
In general, personal information you submit to us is used either to respond to requests that you make, or to aid in serving you better. We also use your personal information to:
- facilitate the creation of and secure your account on our network;
- identify you as a user in our system;
- provide improved administration and technical support of our Site and Services;
- provide the Services you request;
- improve the quality of experience when you interact with our Site and Services;
- send you a welcome e-mail to verify ownership of the e-mail address provided when your Account was created;
- send you administrative e-mail notifications, such as security or support and maintenance advisories;
- respond to your inquiries related to employment opportunities or other requests
We may process, in accordance with local regulations, certain sensitive personal data where you may include in your information that you sent to us e.g. health, ethnic origin in the CV that you provide to us. We may also be required to conduct a criminal record check against your details. We have processes in place to limit our use and disclosure of such sensitive data other than where permitted by law.
Sharing of information
If you choose to take part in our recruitment and educational programmes, your information is also shared with the team and staff involved in processing your application. These parties are required to not use your data other than to process and provide these services to you.
We also use third party services to help us provide more secure and efficient services to you. Third party security services include CodeGuard, Sitelock, SSL.
Data security
We use industry standard security measures to keep your data secure. We store the information you have provided us on secure servers and have security services and certificates in place to protect your data. Third party security services include CodeGuard, Sitelock, SSL.
However, regardless of security measures we have in place, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Please remember to keep your own username and password safe and confidential. In the event that there is a security breach, we will contact you with information on the breach identified, status updates and guidance on how to mitigateany potential damage
Legal basis for processing your personal information
(1) Consent: we ask for your consent to process your personal data in a particular way
(2) Necessary for entering into or performing a contract: in order to perform obligations that we undertake in providing a service to you, or in order to take steps at your request to enter into a contract with us, it will be necessary for us to process your personal data.
(3) Necessary for compliance with legal obligation: we are subject to certain legal requirements which may require us to process your personal data. We may also be obliged by law to disclose your personal data to a regulatory body or law enforcement agency.
How long will we hold your information?
The length of time we will hold or store your personal information for will depend on the services we perform for you and for how long you require these. As we often support candidates with placements over many years, and potentially throughout their careers, the purpose for which we retain candidate data is often an ongoing process until you close your account.
We conduct regular data-cleansing and updating exercises with our candidates to ensure that (a) the data that we hold is accurate and (b) we are not holding data for too long.
Your choices and rights
You have several choices regarding the use of your information on our service:
(1) Opt-out. You may contact us anytime to opt-out
of
: direct marketing communications, including newsletters and emails; or the transfer of your Personal Information outside your country. Please note that your use of some of the Site or Services may be ineffective upon opt-out.
(2) Access. You may access the data we hold about you at any time via your profile/account or by contacting us directly.
(3) Amend. You can also contact us, using the contact information above in Section 1, to update or correct any inaccuracies in your Personal Information.
(4) Move. Your data is portable – i.e. you to have the flexibility to move your data to other service providers as you wish.
(5) Erase and forget. In certain situations, for
example when the data we hold about you is no longer relevant or is incorrect, you can request that we erase your data.
You can exercise your rights (e.g., delete

to and comply with your request as soon as we can.
